Description
What is a Red Pepper? A standard bell pepper goes through different colours as it ripens. The Red pepper is the final stage of this, making it sweet and flavourful to eat, by it raw or cooked. Red peppers, as well as the green & yellow peppers, are great grilled or in a rich spicy pepper soup. Peppers are a member of the Capsicum family and were first brought to Europe by Christopher Columbus from the Americas. This versatile fruit soon made its way into many cuisines.
